Gentian Violet is often used topically to treat yeast infections, particularly oral thrush in infants, and has also been used as a treatment for bacterial infections and some types of skin cancer. However, it can be toxic if ingested or absorbed through the skin in large amounts, so it should only be used under medical supervision.
